I Teaching Innovation Congress UMU – UNADE

In its more than 10 years of existence, UNADE has reaffirmed its vision: to put research, quality and internationalization at the service of the prosperity of its students, graduates and academic community. With this calling, we recently held the Teaching Innovation Congress: University of Murcia and UNADE —co-organized with the University of Murcia—, a space where diverse disciplines and participants of multiple nationalities converged.

On 4, 5 and 6 November, in hybrid format (in person at the La Merced Campus of the UMU, Spain, and online), key topics were addressed: active methodologies, gamification, formative assessment, learning analytics and applications of artificial intelligence in university teaching.

It was a vibrant setting for dialogue between Europe and Latin America, for the exchange of good practices, for shared reflection and for the creation of networks that add value beyond the congress.

The event welcomed more than 1000 viewers who followed it in person and online via YouTube, with the participation of professionals from different countries (Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil…) across the 10 communication panels. We had the pleasure of being joined by the Rector of UNADE, Dr. Mireya Frausto Rojas, who opened the congress and welcomed all presenters and attendees. In addition, we had a special presentation on each day of the congress:

  • “Debunking myths in the classroom: a critical pedagogy strategy in legal and criminological sciences”. Andrea Gómez Martínez
  • Artificial Intelligence as support for research and innovation processes”. Andrés Marino Osorio Herrera
  • “Gender gaps in STEM: diagnosis and mentoring strategies for upper-secondary students in the State of Mexico”. Elisabeth Sánchez Vázquez

Topics of the congress communication panels

During the congress, research projects and experiences on different programs were presented across ten communication panels:
